With a list of production work and remixes that would most likely get into most dance music fans top ten list's Solarstone are to release an Anthology collecting their greatest work to date.
What can be said about Solarstone? One of the most reliable artists in the world of electronic dance music who never seem to disapoint with a bad releases. They have been pushing out dance music for well over a decade with a back catelouge packed full of quality.
The duo behind the Solarstone name are Andy Bury and Rich Mowatt who as the names suggest have not ventured into the trend of releasing material under their own name like so many duo's who become so successful. Before the creation of the Solarstone project in 1996 the pair had been cutting their production teeth into releasing disco pop styled records on the old Hooj label. In 1996 the Solarstone project was formed with their debut release The Calling getting praises from who are now some of the biggest names in Dance. Fast forward ten years, add a few wrinkles, mayby an inch to the waistline and Solarstone still remain one of the most established names in dance music.
If you were to pick out any single record or remix produced by them you would have a job pinpointing one. Seven Cities would be one of the most well known records that they have ever released and no doubt be a classic that gets replayed for many years to come. The style set in that record became much like a trademark for the Solarstone sound with releases like Solarcoaster having the same vibe to it.
Many words can describe the sound of Solarstone's music but the proff is in the lisenting and its a plensent surprises that they will; be releasing an Anthology of their greatest works. What will be a three part series, the first of which will concentrate on their original productions with the other two being one for their chill out productions and one for their remixes.
First to be released is their productions and it comes in the form a two CD package.

When is this tank slapper of a double singles compilation released upon the dance music public? I've not found a firm date but it will be before Christmas if not sometime before. AnthologyTwo and AnthologyThree will be released sometime in 2007 but for now AnthologyOne should meet all your Solarstone needs.
