Toolroom's main man Mark Knight presents 'The Reason'. A soulful houser with remixes of Roog & Greg, Richard F and a collab mix of Mark Knight with Funkagenda. Read on to check it out!

This time Mark Knight works together with The Black Beatnicks who take care of some really laidback vocals on the release. But this does not mean all mixes are laidback too.
As Mark Knight is known of his classy house, we know that Richard F is a specialist in burning dancefloors and also Roog & Greg have quite a reputation.
So let's find out how all mixes are!

A1) Mark Knight - The Reason (Original Mix)

Mark Knight's The Reason is a very good example of classy house which is just excellent for on the beach.
The soulful vocals of The Black Beatnicks, the dominating saxophone, some retro synths and the laidback percussion make the track a good track to lounge on.
For the more dancefloor action we have to watch to the other mixes on the release.

A2) Mark Knight - The Reason (Roog & Greg Remix)

Roog & Greg are not very well known yet in the UK, but in Holland these brothers have quite a status.
They are very known for their quality soulful house which is also very suitable for some dancefloor madness.
In this mix of The Reason that's also the case.
Laidback percussion, fresh FX and some catchy, nearly raw synths make the track a floorfiller and must be loved by especially women.

B1) Mark Knight - The Reason (Mark Knight & Funkagenda LCD Mix)

The collab with Funkagenda ended up in a total other mix then the original.
Bleeps, sirens, old school sounds and vocoders take over and give the track a total other vibe.
But the laidback feel and the fresh sound of the sax are still in there, which means it's still a sort of track to chill on, but also works on the dancefloor.

B2) Mark Knight - The Reason (Richard F Mix)

Richard F is very known of his more raw house productions.
Also with Knight's 'The Reason' he had no mercy and made the track a filthy, raw houser which just has to burn the dancefloor.
Find much tension, guitar sounds, fat basses and poundin' beats in this one.
Definetly my favourite!

Conclusion:
'The Reason' is a quality release with very different mixes. Especially the Roog & Greg and Richard F mixes should throw high eyes on the dancefloor.
Because of the variety this release is really a tip for every house dj!
