What’s New With Armin van Buuren

Starting off with a new music project, you may have not heard of a film called Wild Romance and rightly so as it is not due for release until the 9th November. The new single is a new version of Herman Brood’s Saturday Night which I’m sure if your like me you’ve never heard of! The film, from what I understand is a story about Herman Broods early Rock & Roll career where the beginning sea’s a man named Koos van Dijk searching for podium act for his newly opened bar. He then meets Herman and they form a unique relationship that takes them across America. That’s the story on the film.

The track Armin will be releasing is one called Saturday Night which may not have been his most successful release in the Dutch music charts it did become one of his most popular releases. I for one have never heard the original but I’m sure Armin will put his own style and sound into the single. What role the single will play in the film I’m not sure but it is set for release on the 30th October.

KISS Getting Into A State of Trance

Armins weekly radio show A State Of Trance has been running for years and is now on its two hundred and seventh episode. That is a lot of trance! Aside from being an internet radio broadcast the show is also broadcast on more radio stations that I have fingers. I read that its first time a Dutch man has been broadcasted weekly on British air but I’m not to sure on that stat.

It’s now spread to the UK in the form of KISS FM. A Station which used to be over populated by Urban music has recently been undergoing changes and introduced more dance music on its playlist, must be a sign that Dance music is becoming more popular. Onto the news in hand you can now catch Armin’s show every Monday morning from 12:00 until 2:00.

Naturally A State of Trance is still broadcast every Thursday at 2PM EST.

Armin On Tour

For the rest of October Armin is currently playing across America before jetting of to Spain and the Far East. Here’s where he is for the rest of this month:

27th: Seattle (Element Nightclub
28th: Los Angeles (LA Sports Arena)

Armin Only

How would you like to spend a night with only Armin van Buuren? Oh, yeah and another few thousand club fans to. That is essentialy what Armin Only is and it is back for for second time this year. Last year’s debut event saw over 12,000 people attend to see Armin and a few guest’s of his choice perform on a very special night.

This year’s event is to take place in Rotterdam on the 11th November and celebrates ten years of Armin being a music producer. I don’t think even him would have though he would become so big and have a night like this be so popular. There will be a 'Best Of' Armin album released in the not to distant future collecting his greatest works over that period. No other news than that on the album but worth keeping an eye out for.
