The third and final vinyl album sampler from Re:Locate's excellent album 'Rogue' has picked out the two album tracks 'Jetstream' and 'Samburu' to complete this colourful mini album sampler series...
:: Re:Locate Feat. Thomas Bronzwaer - Jetstream / Samburu :: Galactive :: GALSO016
A: Re:Locate Feat. Thomas Bronzwaer - Jetstream This record is instantly notable because of the awesome translucent green vinyl it is made of. It's a seriously sexy vinyl which will draw comment, guaranteed, and we haven't even heard a beat yet. Onto the tune itself... The main jist of the track kicks off with a surge which is followed up by a hefty set of kicks, comprehensive percussion and an active and energetic bassline. Even in these early stages, melodic elements are blended in and synths start to work their magic with little leads showing up and smooth, beautiful pads lining the background with wonderful sets of chord changes. The trancey feel of Re:Locate's music comes flowing through when you hit the breakdown. First it's the enlightening string-backed synth-led ambience, which riles up brilliantly, injecting energy and raw passion into the buildup which is backed by a cool little breakbeat line. The track drops into full on beats and long, entwining melody, just storming forward with uplifting energy. Some extra pizzaz is also added to the lead synth as it enters its second round which is a great little touch in terms of energy and also variety. There is a short 'breather' section inbetween the two main passages to break the track up a bit and it also offers another awesome buildup opportunity. In a nutshell, this track is pure trance - uplifting, energetic, expertly produced and thoroughly enjoyable.
AA: Re:Locate - Samburu 'Samburu' is quite the different kettle of fish. It starts slowly but surely and is backed by a light, quite tribal array of drums, percussion, claps and various hollow instruments. A big, deep and grinding bassline is the driving force here. On top of that, more chattering tribal drums go at it, along with some tribal vocals singing away happily too. There is an unexpected twist here though. The breakdown comes in, sporting samples of eerie night-time crickets to really add that jungle flavour. Next though, an uplifting trancey melody grows from within and begins to play out. It's a solid, infectious and downright wicked little melody which will catch you instantly. It carries on through the return of the tribal drums and the tribal voices, producing a sound which is quite unique and totally gripping. There is one slight break that follows, after which comes one final main section to enjoy. Top quality music!

Conclusion:
There is quality oozing off both sides of this vinyl! 'Jetstream' on the A-side is full on uplifting, energetic trance whilst 'Samburu' on the AA-side has a new and unique tribal element wound into it, but still puts out an amazing trancey sound. Don't miss this release!
