The Thrillseekers, back in the DJ Magazine Top 100 at 45!
The last 12 months have seen a marathon trail of globe-trotting, continent-hopping and roof-raisin' sets from The Thrillseekers. So Steve Helstrip is over the moon to have re-entered DJ Magazine's all-seeing, all-knowing Top 100 chart, breaking the top 50 for the first time, and coming in at number 45 "with a bullet"!
The last year of Steve's life has been dedicated to cementing his reputation as one of the world's foremost DJs. Largely on a self-imposed studio sabbatical ('By Your Side' was this year's only single), Steve has spun at a whacking 70+ nights over the last 52 weeks, culminating in the 'Around the World in 8 Days' mini-tour in July (five gigs across three countries in eight consecutive days).
And, happy days, all the hard work has paid off!
Steve's plan for the remainder of 2006 and into 2007 is to "return balance" to the production/DJing scales. He will be largely in the studio throughout November, working on further material for his forthcoming debut album.
The Thrillseekers 'Memorabilia' Competition!
To commemorate Steve's top 50 entry and as a small way of thanking the fans who voted, he has come up with a competition (in association with Gatecrasher) to win some signed Thrillseekers, back-in-the-day, goodness! Steve's personally signed, acetate of 'Synaesthesia' (officially the first ever pressing of his club anthem) along with VIP passes to see him spin at Gatecrasher, Leeds on November 25th will be up for grabs.
