© High ContrastA brand new DJ compilation series is about to hit the market, with the first edition being an impressive double CD mixed by one of Holland's fastest rising DJ's. It contains a full-on mix on one disc and a selection of the artist's hottest tunes on the other. Read on for all the info!

Of course, it's not a coincidence that Marcel Woods was chosen to be the first one to take care of this new concept. This year, his 'Advanced' single got to be the official Trance Energy Anthem. It stayed on top of every respectable Dutch dance chart for weeks, and internationally speaking the record did just as great; just about everyone played it, with sales totalling over 10.000 copies sold. After this he was asked to mix the Dance Valley CD on which he showcased his diverse style of DJ'ing.

The first disc titled 'The Music' is a non-stop mix filled with tunes that do it for Marcel at the moment. His sound is of the raw, coarse type, a thing which comes forward when listening to this mix. Ranging from electro-house to techtrance, it shows just how versatile Woods is when it comes to DJ'ing.
CD2 is called 'The Madness' and is a collection of Woods' most popular works to date, plus a selection of exclusive productions which have never seen the light of day before.

The 'High Contrast presents...' series aims to concentrate on the sound of one particular DJ on every edition. Future issues will be mixed by other well-known DJ's/rising stars.
The artist responsible for an edition can freely compile the CD's. His or her only task is to bring the audience a mix and a selection that is as interesting as possible, showcasing the sound that he or she stands for perfectly.

About Marcel Woods
Since 2002, the year in which Marcel started to seriously work on his career, a lot has happened. In less than two years time, he managed to spin at the world's biggest parties and festivals, including Dance Valley, Mystery Land, Sensation, Trance Energy and Antwerp is Burning.
The success of the 'Advanced' single skyrocketed Woods' career even more. International bookings are flying in like hotcakes, and with big international DJ's like Paul van Dyk and Eddie Halliwell playing his productions things just can't seem to go wrong anymore.

About High Contrast Recordings
In a short time, High Contrast has become one of the scene's leading trance/techtrance labels. It's main array of artists include Paul van Dyk, Rank 1, Ronald van Gelderen, Nic Chagall and Marcel Woods to name just a few. One of the label's main characteristics is that it brings a wide variety of singles to the crowd, ranging from pure floorfillers to more experimental productions. It's main aim is not just to bring 'hot tunes', but more to extend the careers of its artists. The goal is to deliver full albums with every artist eventually and to grant them an international breakthrough.
