It's been a very busy year for Mark Norman with their debut artist album being released and a succesful real of records and remixes out in circulation. They are currently working with Grammy Nominee JES for her new album to be released on Black Hole.
Who is Jes you may ask? Not a name you may have heard much of but certainly a voice you would have heard if you have been listening to Trance for the past few years. Gabriell & Dresden's huge release under their Motorcyle alias As The Rush Comes featured vocals by Jes and its no surprise that she has been on tour with the mighty DJ Tiesto last year. She also featured on Solarstone's Like A Waterfall record which was on Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise 4 compilation.
She has been nominated for this years Grammy Awards in their Best Dance Recording category for her work on a track called Ghost which I had not heard until today. You can here that on the Pre Fix Mag web site.
She will be releasing an album in the non to distant future featuring her very own work. It's said to be a blend of her electronic hits with an edgy rock sound. You can be safe in the knowledge that a few of the tracks on the album were produced with the mighty Mark Norman. She spent a week with the guys (Not literally of course) at their studio to work on a few tracks for the album. With the creative minds of Mark Norman and the vocals of Jes I would have a stab at saying the tracks for the album are very much ones to look forward to.
Currently Remixing
Aside from working with potential Grammy winners the Mark Norman boys have been working with some other very big stars on the dance music circuit. The mighty ATB, who is reasonable for one of the biggest selling dance singles ever 9PM Till I come, will be having one of his tracks from his new album remixed by the Mark Norman boys. They have just finished a remix for the legend that is Paul Oakenfold. I'm not sure which track but more than likely it will be one featured on his Likely mind album.
