This is Volume One of Enhanced Recordings' Digitally Enhanced compilation series. It is a showcase of all of Enhanced's most outstanding recent and upcoming releases, all mixed up and blended together by Enhanced's founder, DJ and producer Will Holland...

It's barely a year since Enhanced Recordings first saw the light of day, and here we have their debut compilation.

Over the past year, Enhanced has seen a quality succession of releases and has now also spawned Enhanced Progressive, Enhanced Limited and Enhanced Digital sub-labels. All the big names - Tiesto, Armin, PvD, Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond etc. - have all been spotted sporting Enhanced productions so the reputation of this fresh label is pretty much concrete already.

Label owner and Gatecrasher DJ Will Holland mixed the album over 2 CDs with are all 100% Enhanced Recordings material. CD1 features the deeper, groovy, progressive tracks and CD2 features the more full on, uplifting and melodic sounds. Plenty of exclusive tracks are to be found, including some which won't be available until 2007.

As you can see from this rather large listing of tracks, 28 in total, there are a lot of familiar, quality names running down the list from start to finish.

CD1, as promised, really does delve into the deep, progressive sounds. Subtle melodies, pad-ridden soundscapes and gentle yet hypnotic beats are plentiful here. As the CD progresses, you notice how, through good track selection, it weaves its way from the most gentle melodies to groovy and involving bass driven tracks through to more driving and up-tempo tracks - especially the latter, during the final stages of this CD. But indeed, this CD isn't just great to listen to, it has great 'chill' properties to it also, adding more ways to enjoy it.

The change in tempo from CD1 to CD2 is instantly noticeable, as is the overall style of music. Right away you can feel the raised energy and drive. The tracks that come in all sport gliding synths, pads and wonderful melodies. True trance territory here, this is where Enhanced really shows its muscle. The energy doesn't let up, instead there is just a constant flow of quality, quality trance music.

Conclusion:
Overall, quite a feat has been achieved here by Enhanced, to have a compilation which sports so much top notch music - and over not 1 but 2 CDs to boot! The quality tracks are too numerous to single out, so just get yourself to the shops and make a copy of this great compilation yours to listen to!
