A new website focusing on the best electronic dance tracks in the history has opened.
'A classic is an item that has become a ubiquitous and unique symbol or icon of a time gone by, mainly because of its inherent quality or its representative status.' (as taken from Wikipedia)
For over 30 years there has been a history of electronic dance music. Every era of dancemusic has it's own music heroes. Many consider Kraftwerk to be one of the first electronic dance acts that had an international breakthrough and put electronic music firmly on the worldwide musicmap.
Ever since then the electronic dance community has risen through time, embracing thousands of new fans every year. Styles have evolved, faded away and waken up from the dead, constantly pushing new boundaries.
This site has been started for the love of classic dance tracks in all it's genres, celebrating the success of dance music. Old artists will be interviewed to give their view on the electronic music community and how it has evolved. We will compile toplists in the most popular genre's and share the best and most legendary classic livesets every week. Also you will find reviews of what we consider to be the best, groundbreaking and shaking dance tracks ever to be released in clubs worldwide.
People that just got introduced to dance music might visit this place to find out how it all started and to find out if they missed anything. You will find a comfortable place at our forum and start sharing your knowledge with other people or cherish the old tracks.
We will try to serve you with best lists, info, background information and everything else you need to know about the electronic music history. The website already hosts interviews with DJ Dag (Dance 2 Trance), Cosmic Baby and Jam El Mar, many artists will be added soon.
Danceclassix.com radioshow In January 2007, Danceclassix.com will start her own radio show on Digitally Imported radio (www.di.fm) , featuring a monthly show with mixes from the best DJ’s, both professional as well as experienced amateur DJ’s.
