Focused on bringing listeners fresh sounding Trance with that euphoric feel Daif Records have an army of new artists ready to unleash their skills in the forthcoming year. On top of that they have a brand new and very spanking new website to check out.

Chances are you will not have come across Daif Records before. They are a new digital label set up a few months ago by Joakin Daif and aim to showcase new trance talents from all over the world. The label was orgininally set up this November gone and since the initial launch, which came in the form of a release from Mikael Sjoberg's Left behind (reviewed on the I:Vibes pages a few months ago) the team at the label have been working hard to secure a roster of very talented and new producers with an itching to get their music released.

With the new year upon us it there is no better time to launch a new record label and Daif aim to be focused on Trance and only Trance. Their release from Mikael is doing very nicely in the Dutch Dance charts and they have a very healthy line of records due for release in the next few months. Before that though, what Artists can you expect to find there?

Joakim Daif (SE)
Specialising in emotional and sometimes very vocal trance, joakim is not only the label owner, but also a true talent amongs others! Inspired by some of the more classic stars such as 'Darude' and 'Eyal Barkan', his style has gotten him a worthy amount of attention from the dancing public!

Aimee Bailey (UK)
Currently our only UK artist 'Aimee B' is one of our more unusual and fabulous artists, as she is working hard to forge a new sub-genre in trance called 'MTS' or 'Melodies Tell Stories'. Through each one of her tracks, you'll find
there is a story to be told everytime.

Mikael Sjoberg (SE)
The mastermind behind Daif Records first release 'left behind' mikael sjoberg talents ley im setting out dreamy soudscapes of melodic euphoria. Inspired by some of the greats of the recent trance explosion, he is now working hard at bringing the crowd what they desire, mikael is constant, and is a great asset to the team!

Solar Project [Daniel Gut] (CH)
Daniel Gut (aka Solar Project) has had his own limelight for a short while now, working with various artists such as Signum DJ's and Wavetraxx, however now with a new contract signed with daif, we welcome him to the team, and hope to hear more of what he does best... melodic trance!

Oxid Project [João Paulo Costa Lopes] (POR)
Fluid melodies, and piercingly phat basslines depicting emotion through sound is one way to describe oxid, Signed from sweden, oxid project (aka João Paulo Costa Lopes) rounds off our artist roster nicely and is already proving to be an asset to the team!

Dan-J [Jon Brandt-Cederhäll] (SE)
Born in a south swedish town called Helsingborg, Jon Brandt-Cederhäll has been homing his talents now for 3 years. Though Jon works with trance, he also loves to add his own youthful hard and energetic twist to the 'daif records' roster.

Mike One [Micke Edmundh] (SE)
Known to the team as 'party man', mike one (aka Micke Edmundh) recognised for delivering atmosphericpersonal remixes, and also for being a true trance talent in his own rite, watch out for this one with his remix of Aimee b's 'trapped', and also his us here at daif records.

Trancepulse Inc. [Pekka Savilampi] (SE)
Radio friendly and epic sawing melodies gives you some idea of what this talent is about, 'Trancepulse Inc.' (aka pekka Savilampi) with an already impressive background impressed us so much, that we just had to sign him! Looking forward soon to his debut daif records single 'trance express'.

LABEL NEWS & EVENTS

You can now check out the freshly updated Daif Records web site. The whole site has been given a full overhaul from top to bottom. All the information on previous and forthcoming releases, background information on the label, people behind the scenes at Daif, the latest updates from the label and details on how to get in touch with them are all on there.

To celebrate the new site you can download an exclusive free track by Mikael Sjoberg called Purpose Unknown. It's currently the track of the month and if you’re quick enough you can grab it for nothing over on the label's main homepage.

Have a listen to the Daif Records radio show hosted on LiquidFM on the third Friday of every month called From Trance Till Dawm. On each show an artist from the label will guide you through their current favourite tracks as well as broadcasting exclusive unreleased material. It’s a good way to check out what’s new on Daif.

Grab 'ian van dahl' and 'avb', mix them up in a bowl with some creamed euphoria, and voila 2 mins under the heat and you get solar's first release 'tension'! with the help from Liquid-X, he’s managed a fine progressive trance tune that’s sure to get a lot of playtime! Plus just to give you that little bit extra, we have included 2 fabulous remixes! One estatic and club driving remix from aimee b. and a debut special uplifting remix from the young and talented 'João Paulo Costa Lopes', aka 'Oxid Project'!!!

25th JAN: Trancepulse Inc – Trance Express
Following the Daif Records 2007 first blazing release 'tension', 'trancepulse inc.' thrusts us into action with this spring belter 'trance express'! Accompanied with 2 exclusive and fresh but alternate remixes from 'K-System' & 'Dan-J', plus a take no prisoners radio edit just for those who just want to cut to the chase and get to that ever so infectious chorus melody, we feel confident this one will get your senses pulsating!

10th FEB: Soundphase – Lostlifes
Introducing... soundphase! aka 'mike one' & 'trancepulse inc'. This awsome group have gathered themselves together to bring you 'lost lifes' an epic trancer written in tribute to the innocent people lost in recent global trajedies, filtered with an emotional daif records tried & tested chorus melody, and a heart racing beat ensamble, lets celebrate those lost lifes the only way we know how!
