One of the biggest rising names in Trance and no doubt one of the most popualr artists signed to John Askew's label is ready to unleash his debut artist album.
John O'Callaghan's records have been very popular with the likes of Paul van Dyk, Eddie Halliwell and John Askew to name just a few and it's easy to see why if you have heard any of his production work. His banging style with uplifting strings and melodies featured in his records make any mix get going with a bang. He has a very individual style with his productions and is very much in the fast paced slide in the Trance scene.
After spending most of his teenage years listening to rock and hip hop music, John discovered dance music at the age of 18. Not long after, he purchased his first set of decks and practiced every day for the following months. This new found love for dance music, coupled with his interest in computers led him to begin experimenting with music production in 1999.
It wasn't long before he realised his true sound lay in trance music. By 2001 John was immersed in the scene and had generated a large interest in his music by means of Internet music sites and guest radio mixes on National Irish Radio Station 2FM. As his productions developed and his style matured, he produced a number of original tracks and remixes which were played by DJs such as Matt Hardwick, Les Hemstock and Jon O'Bir.
SOURCE: RecoverWorld After years of producing his own material and working with Bryan Kearn, Greg Downey and St John producing a fair few excellent records the time seems right to let rip with his very own artist compilation which will be called Something To Live For. It's a production only compilation for those of you wanting to hear some his remix's he has done with the list including Hemstock & Jennings, Gate 42 and Ronski Speed just naming a few from the many released.
Here's whats on it:

From the tracklist you can see its jammed packed with John's finest production work to date and the two CD format of the album is very much a bonus with the second disc featuring collaborations and remixes from the likes of John Askew and DJ Governor who I'm sure are as bigger fans of his music than anyone.
I for one will be getting my hands on this and I recommened you do the same as it's sure to be one of the best artist album releases this year.
The release date for this album is January 29th and it can be pre-ordered through the RecoverWorld web site right now!
