Here is the first release of the year from brand new trance based label Daif Records and it comes in the form of an uplifting gem from Solar Project and Liquid X.
Daif Records are a new label to world of Dance music but allready have a few very solid releases out in the public domian allready. Here is the latest release available in digital goodness and flavoured in three mixes to choose from.
:: Original Mix :: Aimee B's Voodo Doll Mix :: Oxid Project's High Drive Remix
It's always good to start with the original mix, sometimes you listen to the a remix of a track and then the original and think, "how did they make that into a good track?". Rambling aside lets get into the records. I've not heard anything from this artist before and with good reason two as this is their first ever release to my knowledge, if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will point that out. The original begins with a dubbed out beat and background atmosphere which fades out when the dubbed beat gets into full working order. It's not long before the main strings of the melody start to come into the track. The sound is upbeat and the sythns, kicks and sharpe foreground strings add a good touch to the build up. Everything cuts and in comes an dreamy aromatic build with uplifting long played out strings that start to build up into the uplifting melody that soon gets unleashed. A finely crafted and well worked melody with a fresh sharp sound that’s catchy to the ear. There is not too much 'sound' within the track, like a lot of records that layer on too much and you forget what you are supposed to be listening to. It's described as a mix of Ian van Dahl and AvB but I wouldn't put this with the likes of Ian van Dahl's vocalised garbage. No vocals to be found in this one and very rightly so as its a very good track.
Aimee B's an artist who I'm sure will be getting her records in many DJ's record sleaves this year as her production work gets better and better. Her remix here is very true to the original with it keeping the same melody sound and string tones but its faster and more upbeat with a great urgency to it. The beat is deep and wet and is a welcome change of pace for those who like it with a little more punch.
Finally out of this Daif Records threesome with have a remix by Oxid Project. The original's pattern remains in place for this mix but the sounds have been changed to add a little spice of techyness to it, especially with the build ups that feature a lot of deep electronic bass changes and swooping loops. The melody echo's into the background of the track when it comes it with the dreamy strings even more dreamy with a soft probed out tone. The breakdown on this mix is excellent as it really creates a good atmosphere within the sound and builds up to an uplifting explosion when the rest of the track feeds back in.
Conclusion:
The year looks like it is staring very well for Daif Records as this is a very fine release to kick things off with. The melody is catchy and remains within the three mixes but each has its own tone and style to suit your taste. I would personal pluck Aimee B's mix out here to be my favourite from the release as I like to style of sound in the track, overall tough this release is a very solid release of uplifting trance worth checking out.
