Ooh La Lishious is certainly dominating the dancefloors at this time of the year. Want to know more about this mysterious release? Read on..!
Jaymen are Jordy Lishious and his studio partner Boy Lamoen who you maybe can remember from their Tech-Trance period. Well, things are different now and these boys are now focused on house music. Now let's check out what the mysterious WL label is up to with these guys.
A1. JayMen - Ooh La Lishious (Original Mix)
Ooh La Lishious is an easy going house track with samples from the well known 'Ooh La La' track from the Wiseguys. The track builds up slowly when suddenly the nice grindin' bassline comes in and leads to the Wiseguys samples which will do their trick and wakes up the dancefloor for sure. Then the bassline returns together with some short synth notes which brings us to the second part of the Wiseguys sample part. With these samples a climax is being created and the same synths and bassline return again. You can guess by my way of describing it's certainly not the most difficult track out there, but it's surely effective and will do good on every dancefloor because of the smart way of sampling the Wiseguys.
B1. JayMen - Ooh La Lishious (Dub Mix)
The Dub Mix of Ooh La Lishious is quite the same as the Original Mix, but in this mix some vocal parts are deleted. the Wiseguys samples are still programmed in the same way as in the Original, but without the 'Ooh La La' parts. So for everyone who does not like that, this is your mix. But in my opinion they could have been some more creative in making a dub.
B2. JayMen - Oh Boy
And then there is the 'Oh Boy' track. This is a stand alone track which is more electro, but can still be described as easy going house because of the catchy synths and basslines. Some freaky sounds and well created climaxes make this track complete. Oh Boy is really a good add to the less difficult Ooh La Lishious mixes, so that definetly turns up the score of this release.
Conclusion:
With Ooh La Lishious as a real crowdpleaser and Oh Boy as a high quality house tune this release can't go wrong. Certainly keep your eyes on these two guys.
