One of Holland's most upfront trance labels brings us a nice bit of news concerning their present and future releases, including some highly interesting facts about certain big event anthems and so on...
Joop's 'The Future' is the Trance Energy 2007 Anthem
One of HCR's latest signings, 'The Future' by Dutch DJ Joop, was chosen to be the official anthem for this year's edition of Trance Energy, which is held on March 10th in the Jaarbeurs, Utrecht. Joop was discovered at a DJ contest a few years ago. Now, he has accomplished that one of his own singles has become the anthem for one of the world's biggest trance events. Kind of a dream coming true!
The first release contains the powerful original mix plus a deeper, more intricate remix by Leon Bolier (who has co-produced 'The Future'). The second outing includes two remixes by Rank 1 and Markus Schulz, making the overall package quite the neat one.
Alex M.O.R.P.H. & Rank 1's 'Life Less Ordinary' to be out on High Contrast soon
One of last year's most hyped tunes (so to speak) will soon finally see its deserved full release. Quite literally, every trance jock has been playing it to bits. It is said that the release is going to include quite some interesting remixes, so I guess we'll find out what they have in mind for us somewhere very soon.
Upcoming releases
Wippenberg - 'Promisedland': out very soon is this brand new piece by German producer Wippenberg, who has recently delivered a wicked remix for Cosmic Gate. Combining trance with pop and including vocals by Tiff Lacey, this looks like something rather interesting... Included are remixes by Nic Chagall and Sphaera. Releasedate: January 29th.
Joop - 'The Future': as said above, this follow-up to the massive 'The World / Another World' is co-produced by Leon Bolier, one of the trance scene's fastest rising producers. Releasedates: February 12th / March 3rd.
Nic Chagall - 'What You Need': the official follow-up to the quality 'Monday Bar' will finally see the light of day! It's been hammered by some key jocks over the past month or so, and that wasn't without reason. Again, Nic incorporates magnificent guitar chords, but this time with added male vocals to complete the package. Comes in a total of four tasty mixes, each concentrating on another style. One to look out for! Out on: February 26th.
Releases out now
NuSense - 'Deep Down & Dirty / Twisted Rose': Out since a few weeks is this little gem originating from the south of Wales. Lots of dirtyness in this one! Check out a full review in our Review section.
Jochen Miller - 'Twisted Mind': Following up on 'India' and 'Chromatic', this release does things a little differently compared with its predecessors. The original is packed with 80's styled riffs and synths, while the Miller vs Channel88 Mix is a full-on techtrance interpretation.
Album: High Contrast presents Marcel Woods: The very first edition in the High Contrast presents... series is out now, mixed by techtrance maestro Marcel Woods. Included are two CD's, the first one being a mix reflecting what is doing it for Woods at the moment, and the second one being a nice showcase of his latest productions. Go ahead and read out detailed review in the Review section!
