The creator of one of last year's most popular dance records is out to prove he is not just a one hit wonder brings a fresh look to Ministry's Sessions compilation series.
You can't seem to look anywhere without 'Electro House' being pushed into your face like cream pie by a clown, It's everywhere. In clubs, magazines and on the covers of quite a few disc compilations available at the moment. It seems the sound is the popular thing right now with a lot of places jumping on the wagon or at least trying to keep up.
Fedde le Grand's Put Your hands Up For Detroit started off as a record the devoted dance enthusiast was quite fond off but it soon emerged to be as popular with fans of other styles. So much so big labels picked up on its popularity and gave it the exposure to push it into the mainstream and make the record the selling point of many a dance compilation, a few of those being Ministry one's I may add.
It can be a tricky business to move on from such a success and try not to get tarred with the same brush as time passes but Fedde le Grand aims to push his love for Dance music and put on show more of what he has to offer. What better way to do it than your own Mix compilation.
The 'Sessions' series from the Ministry of Sound first arrived at the start of last year and has seen the names of Josh Wink, Steve Angello and Andy Cato put their mixes out on it. The first release for this year gives the series a fresh look but with the same intention, to showcase artist's mixes from various styles of dance music. The latest name to step up for Sessions is Fedde Le Grand which is not really a surprise to many as Ministry singed his 'Put Your Hands Up For Detriot' and released it on there DATA label last year.
If your looking for that track in this mix you will be disappointed as its not in here and rightly so. The two disc compilation features the likes of Switch, RickE and Armand van Helden amongst others mixed into what is described as an Electro Jackin' Mix. It looks very promising and full of fresh material and upfront tracks but most compilations always paste that on their.
