 My My My, Armand Van Helden will be releasing a brand new artist album this spring. Details on it are brief but the snippets so far indicate it's a belter.
It's not really that long since his last album 'Nympho'. It might have been released a year and a half ago but it certainly doesn't seem it. That album was a pretty good success and did a lot to further his reputation as an excellent dance music producer. Dance music being a vague description as in this day of sub genres his music fits into many different styles. It doesn't matter what style it slides into what matters is if it's any good. Armand's last album certainly was that and he's not someone to just leave it at that.
He will be releasing a brand new album full of artist material this spring on Southern Fried Records called Ghettoblaster. That's just about all we know so far. No full track list has been released for the album but it will contain his current single released just before Christmas 'Touch My Toes'. That record has seen the light of day on a few Radio 1 play lists over the past few weeks most noticeable the mighty Pete Tong and he doesn't spin any old garbage.
For a preview of that record and a few others by Armand have a nosey at his MySpace page where you can hear samples. If you have not heard Touch My Shoes yet you really ought to as its rather good. Keep posted for details on the album but definitely something to be exciting about come spring time.
