Played by Armin on his weekly show, Lange has successfully remixed this track into a fine example of the vocal trance we all love so much
This new production on Illustrious Records from db boulevard was released on 12/02/2002 The reason why I picked this record up was because Lange, the famous UK Producer with a number of huge success's behind him has made an awesome remix which is probably why DJ's such as Holland's Armin Van Buuren has been spinning it recently.
On the record are the following:
a1: Point Of View (Original) a2: Point Of View (Lange Mix) b1: Point Of View (Quivver's Vocal Mix)
a1: Point Of View (Original) The original may not appeal to many people as it's more of a standard House track. It has a very commercial sound to it. I'm not going to say anything else about this because the other two mixes deserve the attention.
a2: Point Of View (Lange Mix) This is more like it. As soon as I started to play this, I recognised the sound of quality Trance almost immediately. The vocals are very similar to that of the original but Lange has made a fantastic job of adding in some sweet synth sounds to help make it sound more uplifting and trancy. The breakdown sounds a little dreamy... The vocals sound great with the extra sounds, synths and effects. This your classic Vocal trance record!
b1: Point Of View (Quivver's Vocal Mix) Again, this remix from Quivver is vocal trance which is far superior to the original. This mix isn't as dreamy or uplifting as Lange's masterpiece but it does however sound pretty good. Its a little harder and the beautiful synths aren't there which kinda helped make the track. Not a bad production but Lange has taken this track to a whole new level.
Conclusion
For all you vocal trance lovers out there, this record is for you! Lange has definately made this record worth buying. We shouldn't have expected anything less from him!
