A welcome return to the compilation market for Gatecrasher with a live double compilation from who some regard as America's finest DJ.
Gatecrasher compilations have a very long history. Much of that history is filled with superb underground releases jam packed with the latest club music mixed by the worlds finest DJ's. There early compilations were fantastic in my view but a fair few in recent years have slipped below the level you expect with the Gatecrasher name on.
That may well be to just what gatecrasher has changed into these days. No longer most widely known for its clubs with the freshest Trance residents in putting names to their compilations they have become a little more widespread and ventured into other waters. The days of Superclubs is not as it once was but the gatecrasher name is still here and will be for some time I hope. They still host club nights all over the world with the finest stars from varying styles of music playing at the events.
Christopher Lawrence is an American born DJ who mostly plays Trance, that%u2019s just about all I know about the guy. Trance he may be most known for but as most DJ's don%u2019t like to be tied into just one style these days its true to say he plays other styles to. For Gatecrashers first compilation release this year he brings a fresh upbeat double mix compilation with both mixes being recording live in Moscow last year. The pure offering of new music around these days will ensure that this mix is as fresh as any around at the moment.
Live recorded compilations are a favourite of mine over studio based ones, possible due to the fact that quite a lot of Studio mixes ones are either full of cheesy rubbish or aimed at small children who have an unhealthy obsession with wearing caps. This two CD compilation looks very tasty though having a look at the tracks on it.
