Ørjan Nilsen weighs in with the alias of Orion here to bring 2 quality trancers at you, bringing the Dedicated imprint well back onto form...
:: Orion - Gobstice :: Dedicated :: DED026
A: Gobstice This is trance with extra bite. Big beats and a cutting percussion embody the track whilst a massive bass guitar slaps out a wickedly groovy bassline. Of course with Ørjan Nilsen being behind this project, the dreamy melodies which materialize during the breakdown and in the subsequent sections are no surprise. The beauty though is in their development. As the breakdown progresses, the soft synths gain a crisp, icey feel, and the result of this when played against the fat, groovy bass is very refreshing. Also, there is some pretty inventive use of sfx, which may remind some of the cartoon character 'Taz'. This is an utterly solid piece of trance which is yet another winner for Mr. Nilsen
AA: Adamantica 'Adamantica' is a softer and much more flowing production. Ørjan's style can be easily recognised here as the lively basses feed the onset of delicate synth riffs. Soft and flowing it may be, it doesn't detract from the energy which is also put out from this one. Extra synth layers are put into place and some of the pads used are simply wonderful. The main melody is gently nurtured and finally begins to emerge in the breakdown. The lead synth itself is more gutsy and defined whilst the melody it plays is lengthy - it's one of those that meanders through the track, eventually reaching its destination in its own good time, generally allowing for maximum levels of enjoyment. It's a very well executed piece because without properly realizing it, the track becomes very full bodied with the perfect balance of sounds at all the right moments.

Conclusion:
A fantastic pair of tunes from the Norwegian wonder. With this release Dedicated is back to its trancey form and you'd be foolish to let these pass you by.
