Be Yourself Music's Dirty Soul imprint is doing better and better. By releasing De Souza's hit 'Guilty' they had quite some attention. But is this record by Montoja also able to get such attention? Read on to check it out.
Montoja is a project of the producer Tim Janssens who is better known as the big man behind 'Sunfreakz'. Is this Montoja record just as summerish and catchy like the Sunfreakz releases? Well..let's take a listen.
Montoja - Love Comes Over Me (Original Mix)
Groove is the key word for this track. As Tim Janssens always puts some catchy elements in his Sunfreakz releases this record is pure groove. Subtle beats and short basslines, a lovely laidback female vocal and some great work with acoustic guitars and..saxophones. These saxophones give the track a special feel and makes the track complete. Wow, what should it be great to have this track on the background at the beach. Outstanding work.
Montoja - Love Comes Over Me (Damien Strong Remix)
Damien Strong starts the track with some short noted synths, cutted vocals and fiercer beats. Some typical 80's like synths come into the track and also the saxophones are transformed in oldschool 80' synths. All these elemtents together give the track a very unique sound. Good job from this Damien Strong.
Montoja - Love Comes Over Me (Sunfreakz Remix)
Oh yes, a Sunfreakz Remix! Time for some more tempo. This track starts off just good with already putting the saxophone and short vocals in the beginning to build up. Then a catchy melody and the full vocals come in and are being followed by a thicker bassline to give the track more power. The melody is done by several synths and keeps the crowd awake and dancing all night long. Really great job by Tim Janssens who is really showing what his skills are with this mix.
Conclusion:
Great release by Dirty Soul. The saxophones in the original, the 80's sound in the Damien Strong Remix and the outstanding catchy feel of the Sunfreakz remix make this package a must-have.
