The ingenious Galactive label hosts the latest track by the mighty Re:Locate and Cliff Coenraad, 'We Feel'. Astatic steps up for remix duties...
:: Re:Locate Vs. Cliff Coenraad - We Feel :: Galactive :: GALSO018
A: We Feel (Re:Locate Remix) This track is really meaty. It will rile you up with ease with it's massive beats which come readily backed up with a fearsome booming bass. The synth melodies which are introduced are simple and down to earth, but the instrument carries a sound that you'd associate with Re:Locate's style, which makes it much more interesting to listen to, and a lot more catchy too. The second of the two very short breakdowns provides a fancy little interlude where an electric guitar lets rip for a bit. This unexpected piece of variety is a great touch and primes you for a final onslaught of the main section before those massive beats have to start winding down.
AA: We Feel (Astatic Remix) Astatic's remix immediately gives off a different feel. There's a tribal essence to the beat and percussion, and the bassline alternates between two notes as each beat passes. This takes away the drive and power from before and replaces it with a much lighter and groovy sense. A complete contrast from before are the several really quite long breakdowns. String pads and sustained electric guitars raise the level of euphoria and generally give this track a kind of more 'friendly' feeling, as a lot of the techy essences are gone.
Conclusion:
Re:Locate is still on fire here. The raw strength and power contained within his remix of 'We Feel' is irresistible and reason enough alone to buy this record.
