1) Critical Situation (Original Mix)
The percussion used in this track has an immediately distinct tough and tinny sound. The stark hits and taps of the various instruments creates a bright and lively rhythmic element all the way through from start to finish. Couple this with the eerie droning pads and the hypnotic high pitched riff and you get a gutsy, driving prog piece which is effortless to listen to.
2) Critical Situation (Miika Kuisma Remix)
Right from the start you can sense the deep, eerie stillness that comes from the deepest and darkest of prog trance music. The main differences in this remix are a much more noticeable bassline and a smaller emphasis on percussion. The slightly riff-tastic bassline and subtle droning strings suck you right into the continuous world of prog sounds. This track is a picture perfect example of the way decent progressive music evolves and grows, encompassing many different elements along the way. Once this one has got into full swing, some of the instruments used - and the general feel of the track - reminds me of the deep, dark and awesome 'Kilamanjaro' by Silvio Ecomo from back in 2001. I'm not totally into prog, but this one really catches my attention, so those who are should love this!

Conclusion:
Really proggy music here, but both mixes are extremely strong, displaying interesting sounds and music with excellent character.
