Menno de Jong is making a huge name for himself in trance with his quality sets and his quality productions. He's also made a mark with his superb Intuition Recordings record label. Now Intuition have their first compilation vailable and it's got Menno's stamp of quality all over it. As the note on the jewel case insert tells, these tracks were selected because of their interesting, inspiring and unique origins and circumstances.

The mix itself is a blend of smooth, calming trance focusing on well placed chords and sweet, uplifting melodies. The mood created really is a journey that is experienced, not just listened to. Some of the best moments belong to tracks like Orkidea - Eternal Love, Yarune - Airballoon, El Cortez - Desert Rose. Menno de Jong & Re:Locate's 'Solid State' and the beautiful 'Sub Runner' by Kimoto Lopez. There are a few slightly tougher and also very different numbers in there like Leon Bolier's 'Crazy People' and Mulika - Escalate. Menno's mixing shines throughout the album as each track is mixed and blended seamlessly without losing any atmosphere or sense of flow.

Also included is a second CD which has a back catalogue of Intuition Recordings releases. Sporting brilliant unmixed releases such as Jonas Steur's 'Castamara' and 'Silent Waves' and Menno de Jong's Tundra, this is bound to be favoured by many a DJ.

Conclusion:
A fantastic compilation put together by Menno de Jong - a fine demonstration of Intuition's unwavering quality in the trance world. This is required listening.
