© Gareth EmeryPaul van Dyk’s tip for the top and #34 ranked DJ in the world Gareth Emery is truly unstoppable this year. With an appearance as one of the only UK DJs at the huge Trance Energy festival in Holland, one of the biggest trance records of 2007 under his belt with his remix of Albert Vorne – Formentera What and the Gareth Emery Podcast steamrolling in popularity, the best is still yet to come!

IN THE STUDIO

The biggest news from the Emery studios this month is the next Gareth Emery single ‘More Than Anything’. If you are a listener to Gareth’s hugely popular Podcast, caught him playing out recently, or if you tune in to Armin van Buuren’s ‘A State Of Trance’ radio show then you’ll have heard it. Armin has played the intensely euphoric Stoneface & Terminal remix two weeks in a row, the second week being voted ‘Future Favourite’ by the show’s listeners.

It’s Gareth’s first effort at a solo vocal track, and features an impressive pack of remixes to suit all tastes. There are two versions from the man himself, the Original and Dub Mixes, plus for the Five AM UK release there is the Stoneface & Terminal Dub and a mix from fresh new talent Observer & Heatcliff for you boshin’ trance fans.

Over in the US and for Currve Recordings, there are mixes from Gabriel & Dresden protégée Retrobyte, American house superstar Richard F, and German progressive talent Jerome Isma-ae. The infectious vocal, massive melody and huge variety of mixes on offer mean this is all set to be a huge hit across the board and Gareth Emery’s biggest single yet!

As always, check Gareth’s super-stylish Myspace for samples www.myspace.com/garethemery - the full package lands in October!

Elsewhere on the production front Gareth has a number remixes due for release in the next couple of months as well as a very cheeky little house number hidden behind a cunning alias – keep posted with the podcast for that one – it’s a summer smash!

THE PODCAST ANNUAL

Ever since the release of the Five AM Sessions two years ago fans have been crying out for new Gareth Emery mix album – well the wait is over, it’s on its way! Based on the phenomenal success of the Gareth Emery Podcast, one of the 20 most downloaded music podcasts in the world (itunes chart), Gareth has hand-picked a selection of some of the best underground dance tunes from the show over the last year and throw in a good measure of his own stuff and a fair few from other prolifics! This is the first ever album based on a Podcast, and after being nominated for ‘Best Podcast’ at the Miami Winter Music Conference further reflects its huge worldwide appeal and popularity.

The two disc album will be released on UK cutting edge label Baroque. Disc one concentrates on intelligent, futuristic electro and progressive house, leaving Disc 2 for Gareth to deliver some driving tech/trance. Included is the worldwide exclusive of the much sought after GE ‘Illicit’ Bootleg of the Tocadisco Remix of Boosta – Dance Is Dead – this will be the only place you will be able to own this! Also included are huge tunes from the likes of Kyau & Albert, Ferry Corsten, Jerome Isma-ae, Rue De Gar and of course a couple of the biggest dancefloor hits of the last two years, Formentera What and Lange vs. Gareth Emery – Another You, Another Me. Out in October on 2xCD and digital download this will be an essential purchase for not just trance fans but any lover of quality dance music.

If you’ve never checked out the podcast... do so now! There’s no excuse, all episodes are downloadable from www.garethemerypodcast.com – so head over there and join the tens of thousands of other worldwide subscribers.
