On August 25th, Galaxy Radio will be taking a ground breaking step in commercial radio with two separate outside broadcasts running simultaneously on FM and Digital from the Creamfields 2007 Festival.
In a commercial radio first, listeners will have the opportunity to catch a full festival experience with a huge line up of cutting edge acts split between Galaxy’s FM & Digital stations. Both formats will kick off on-air at 17:00pm and carry on through to 01:00am on Sunday 27th.
Galaxy will have a huge army of engineers and producer's working around the clock from the festivals several arenas to ensure this mammoth task runs smoothly in this live outside broadcast first .
Creamfields 2007 marks the third successful year of Galaxy as the official radio broadcaster at the 40,000 capacity festival held @ Daresbury House in Cheshire. The broadcast line-up is as fresh as ever with an array of new and established names covering the whole spectrum of dance music in 2007. Live broadcasts confirmed include: Justice (FM), Simian Mobile Disco (DAB), David Guetta (FM) and Freeform Five (DAB).
Galaxy is excited at finding a way to give their listeners the power of choice with this innovative approach to offering alternatives that reflect their own personal tastes:
"We get great feedback regarding our broadcasts at Creamfields and we are very excited to be providing added choice for our listeners, through our digital and FM platforms. For those who aren’t lucky enough to go to the festival we hope to bring as much atmosphere as possible from many corners of this great event." Mike Cass, Brand Programme Director, Galaxy.
