It's been a good year so far for artist albums and they keep popping up. This time with Jonas Steur, a member of the Black Hole Recordings family, unleashing an artist album next month.
Jonas is a dance music producer from Belgium. He has his first record signed when he was just seventeen years young with the record Silvertear - So deep. I've never heard it come to think of it but that early release opened the door for the years to come. he has come along way since then is now most well known for his releases under his Estuera alias as well as Jonas Steur.
A little fact for your dance database is that Jonas produced the track 'Ace' for Ian Van Dahl back in 2002. I'm sure it’s a memory he would like to forget but from what you hear of Ian van Dalh tracks that was actually a decent record, now you know why. Excusing him for encouraging the likes of Ian van Dalh to make more records Jonas's recent work has been nothing short of superb.
One record you may well have heard out and about on your travels is 'Falling To Pieces', an epic track with the vocals of Jennifer Rene that has been play listed by the likes of Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk. It's not hard to see why because its a gorgeous track with riff changes to send you into an orgasm, literally. that track will of course be on this album.
The release will be spread over two discs. The first being a compilation of his artist tracks in full and unmixed form which I prefer over the mixed artist compilations that get released. The second disc will be a mixed selection of his brand new tracks. I’m not sure why the split but spread over both discs is nineteen fantastic Jonas productions a fair few of which have never seen the light of day before.
DISC ONE
1: Fall To Pieces 2: Nightwalker 3: Level Up 4: Seven Moons And A Bit 5: Pure Bliss 6: Rise And Shine 7: Born For The Night 8: Left In A Daze 9: I Know 10: La Nuit Noi
DISC TWO
1: Tales From The South 2: Flow 3: City Lights 4: Silent Waves 5: 7 Clouds 6: Palma Solane 7: Real Shores 8: Second Turn 9: Castamaria
This will be Jonas debut artist album and will be released on Black Hole Recordings September 17th and should be available in all good record stores. They always say that but your best off looking in specialist dance shops or ordering from the Black Hole web site when it’s out to guarantee a copy.
