Are you looking to broadcast your vocal talents to the music industry? This might float your boat then as a major international producer is on the hunt for a singer to work on a new studio album which is said to be of an Electronic nature.
If selling well over 30 million albums worldwide doesn't make you a popular producer then something must be wrong. If something of a bit of a mystery this unknown producer is looking for fresh talent for his next album and that means he may well want you.
This contest is open to anyone and everyone. If you can sing the this mystery producer wants to hear from you. The unknown music creator is looking for great distinctive voices, people than can hold a tune and pen a song. Why does this producer want to remain unknown for the time being? That's the mystery as they will only be unveiled after the winning singers have been selected.
Dom Cook, marketing director of MySpace UK, says: "The producer we're working with partnered with MySpace to tap into the abundance of creative individuals of different musical styles, who use the site to share their diverse talents. Rather than trying to pigeon-hole singer-songwriters by his previous success, this competition is wide open. Once the producer has found the right singers to create his dream duo he will reveal himself and his plans for the album."
The producer has joined up with social networking site MySpace so you will have to sign up on there to put yourself forward, although considering how big MySpace is I would have a guess that most people have already joined up. You need to head over to 'Singer Wanted UK''s page and add yourself as one of their friends.
You do ideally need to be a UK based singer as the producer is based in London. It really is a very unusual way of auditioning singers but don't worry if you don't think your style fits the electronic sound as the producer is not tied down by genre and really is looking for anyone and everybody with a good voice. The site is open from now and will be until the 25th October so you need to register before then if you wish to enter.
The question is, what international producer based in London and has sold over 30 million albums is looking for a singer? Answers on a postcard to the usual address.
