New labels keep popping up weekly at the minute which can only be a good thing. Dubfire (Of half of Deep Dish) is starting up his own digital label Science & Technology Digital Audio or SCI+TEC for short.
Dubfire is really a guy called Ali Shirazinia who forms one part of the Deep Dish Duo. he is cutting his way very nicely into into the solo artist scene with his last release 'Roadkill' getting a play from just about every big name DJ you could think of. Paul van Dyk's been hammering it, Armin van Buuren's been caining it and even Pete Tongs been thrashing it. That record has been out on general release for a while now .
In order to give his Dubfire alias a fresh breath of distribution he has decided to start up his own digital label which will be exclusively for Dubfire releases and new hot talents that Ali Shirazinia notes worthy of releasing records on his label. That label will called Sci + Tec which in long stands for Science & Technology Digital Audio. Why the move to create a new label though you may ask?
“With Deep Dish, we are currently exploring our own creative paths. Since the music industry climate has changed, I though it was the right time to start a new digital-only label. I also needed an outlet to release my productions quickly and at a great value for the fans.” Ali Shirazinia
The new label will plan to release at least one record per month with a target of putting out twleve within the space of a year. Currently you can find Dubfire's 'RoadKill' and his tech based 'RibCage' records out now on the label and in most online digital record stores.

I'll be pleased to hear new productions from Dubfire after particularly enjoying 'Roadkill'. The label does not have a web site set up currently but I'm sure it will have in the weeks to come.
