The debut artist album from one of dance music's new talents is not to be missed. Featuring all of his recent releases and brand new material this is a serious contender for album of the year!

You may well remember Jonas Steur for his music produced under his Estuera alias but I'm sure that’s going to change as he continues to push out superb music as Jonas Steur. This is debut album and it's an album you really should have in your collection. We have two discs with one being ten full length productions and the other mixed CD. I'm not sure why the choice to do one mixed and one unmixed but it does create a nice flip album with a smoothly blended mix if you’re after constant Jonas music without the pauses. In total you get nineteen productions from Jonas here, some you may well have heard and others brand spanking new.

DISC ONE

1. Fall To Pieces (Feat. Jennifer Rene)
2. Nightwalker
3. Level Up
4 Seven Moons And A Bit
5. Pure Bliss (Feat. Jennifer Rene)
6. Rise And Shine
7. Born For The Night
8. Left In A Daze
9. I Know
10. La Nuit Noire (Feat. Re:locate)

DISC TWO (MIXED)

1. Tales From The South
2. Flow
3. City Lights
4. Silent Waves
5. 7 Clouds
6. Palma Solane (Feat. Re:locate)
7. Red Shores
8. Second Turn
9. Castamara

What are the highlights of this delightful two plastic circled bundles of great music then? The first disc is a straight collection of his productions in full length form; no cheeky radio edits or fade ins to be found here. You may well have heard Fall To Pieces featuring the beautiful vocals of Jennifer Rene and having one of the most innovative opening riffs I've heard for a while. Building from the background at the start and continuing to gather pace as the beat comes in it must be one of my favourite tracks this year. A cracking way to kick off an artist compilation.

One track with a deep steady beat is Level Up which sounds and melodies seemingly inspired by old computer game soundtracks and guitar effected riff at the end of it. Each track in here has a different atmosphere to it which is a nice touch. The melody in Pure Bliss is very bright and energetic with lovely vocals from Jennifer Rene again. You may remember Born For The Night which came out as a single not so long ago and features a mighty glockenspiel sounding riff in it, really catchy.

I Know is one that I'd highlight as being a track to skip to with a superb bass riff all the way through and punchy beats stabbing in and out with a good dose of epic breakdown in the middle. There is really no bad track in this lot and Jonas production work is very impressive. Lots of original sounding tracks with different elements, some electric inspired and others more progressively building. Melodies are what this album is all about and they pop up everywhere which great effect.

The addition of a mixed disc is very welcome. It’s a bit like an album of two half’s as most artists either do one or the other. Jonas has decided to do both with the second mixing his productions together in one very fine mix. The mixing is spot on, no track seems out of its place. Tales From The South has a great breakdown in it and leads into Flow like a charm. The melody suddenly drops in on the mix and what a melody, the deep tubular bells sounding chugs away leading into the main break with some lovely strings. Some of his older productions are in this mix with Second Turn featured near the end of the mix. Castamara rounds it off very nicely and finishes where the album started, with a brilliant melody.

Conclusion:
What an album, one of my favourites I've heard this year without a doubt. Jam packed with quality melody after the other. Gorgeous vocals and strings, great track after great track and a variety of styles that keep you interested. Jonas deserves great praise for this album and is a name that has a very bright future in dance music. One of those talents that keeps popping up with great tracks, go buy it.
