Simon Patterson breathes life back into tech trance with his latest release which is out on Reset Records...
:: Simon Patterson - Bulldozer :: Reset Records :: RS028
1) Bulldozer This track carries a fiery energy which I haven't heard since Marco V was dominating the scene in 2002 - 2003. The beats are tough and strong, the bass is taught and the percussion / backing has an intense rhythm with tons of driving force. This track is far from only having one dominant feature though, as an ambient breakdown gives rise to a catchy lead melody which is played by a powerful, energised trancey synth which carries an inspiring, rough edge to its sound.
The surprises don't stop there either though, as this leads you to a third style contained within the production. This time the mood turns much darker - for a short time there's a minimal feel which is led by growling electro leads and sinister synth hits. The track is soon built back into the driving force we heard at the beginning, and this is how it powers itself out to the end.
Conclusion:
'Bulldozer' is an awesome tune! Spot on for Reset Records. This is a track which will help to redefine tech trance back to the way it should be.
