1) Piano In The Rain (Dub Mix)
This rather artistically entitled piece finds itself quickly with a powerful beat and a really electrifying, gutsy bassline. Piano chords work together with a clean and simple synth to allow the melodic elements of this track to grow. The first of two major breakdowns sees the piano go solo with just some samples from a thunderstorm as backing. Emotive and beautiful, this invites an acoustic synth to join the build up, along with a growing medley of trancey, feel-good synths. This builds into a great melodic flow where we see all of the previous elements combined in one energetic and passionate passage. Time is found for another breakdown and another chance to sample the delightful buildup and release is most definitely relished.
2) Piano In The Rain (Probspot Dub Mix)
Probspot has kept a lot of the main instrument ideas and melodies from the original, but here they have been made to sound distant and more spacious. When this is applied to an airy layer of synths and a deep, probing bassline, you get a production which exudes an ideal progressive drive. Power is held within the bass and yet there's an airy calm being carried across through the melodies and ambience. very high quality progressive trance.

Conclusion:
A super-solid release. The original dub I love because of the use of the piano and also because of the ultimate combination of all of the different elements involved. However Probspot's remix is also very strong. I'd go as far as saying that remix is one of my favourite progressive tunes to date.
