Brand new on Ferry Corsten's Flashover Recordings label comes a new record from American duo Randy Boyer & Eric Tadla otherwise known as Enmass. It's duo's all round as on the remix are Nisoma and Staic Blue.
I don't know much about this duo off hand but the music they have produced under the EnMass alias has been superb. They have remixed the likes of 4 Strings and that very well known record from the Whiteroom otherwise known as Andy moor. Here they bring a superb Ferry styke elctro trance monster with a nice trance remix from Nisoma and Staic Blue.
:: Original Mix :: Nisoma Vs. Staic Blue Remix.
The Original Mix is where the meat in this sandwich really lies. The track starts off with a softy edged deep beat and brings in the sounds. Little stabs and quirks slide in as building in the background is an electro bass riff that comes slamming into the foreground with the beat dropping off. A few stabs of that as it gets louder and the beat slams back in to leave the electro riff hitting its peak and bouncing into rhythm. The early hook on the sound will impress you as it did me, its a great hook which leads you into the main breaking melody of the track. The background builds, the beat drops off and the background melody starts with teh track leading into almost silence as a euphoric melody plays out. The track starts to build again with the deep electro groove hiding in the bassline ready to pop out and say hello which is does as all the elements come together to create a blinding melody and killer deep riff to compliment. What an excellent track this is with a great blend of electro elements with uplifting trance ingredients.
The Nisoma Vs. Staic Blue Remix is solid trance. The mix starts off with a solid stabby beat that feeds in sounds as the mix gathers pace. The bass riff on the build is pretty good and complimented by the layers of sound put on top. The track breaks at halfway and feeds in the uplifting strings that form the melody of the track. The melody is soft sounding with this mix but keeps its euphoric feel of the original. This mix just sounds like any other solid trance record. One you would put on for a brief moment and think; I've heard that build up on a thousand other tracks. There's nothing that special in here that would make you want to slam it to the front of your pile of CD's. It's good, well produced trance but seem a little formulated and lacking that killer punch.
Conclusion:
An excellent release on Flashover here let down a little by an average remix. The original is pure gold and deserves praise for being a bloody good track with a riff that cries out to be played on a big club system. The remix is nothing special in my opinion so go grab the original here for some top quality pumping electro riff trance music with that uplifting feel.
