Sample CD masters Loopmasters have teamed up with drum n bass-turned breaks legends Aquasky to release to release the first in a new series of artist-based sample CDs ‘Loopmasters: Artist Series’ the first of its kind where this highly acclaimed company will join forces with leading artists from different electronic genres to produce a high quality and extremely adaptable sample DVD library showcasing each artists unique production sounds.
Alongside 1 Gig of high quality sound files (500 MB’s worth of original material) available as patches for all mainstream soft samplers: Halion, Kontakt, EXS24, Reason NNXT, Cakewalk, Stylus Rex and Apple Loops all on one DVD, each artist has been given the additional task of including a piece of music constructed from the samples provided in order to give an insight into just what can be achieved.
Vol 1: Aquasky sees this Bournemouth-based trio contribute the parts to their forthcoming single ‘Have A Good Time’ (Passenger Records) alongside the final version as an insight into their production methods. This is the first single released by this pioneering act in over 12 months and features the vocal talents of Florida’s No.1 booty bass MC Acafool and features as part of the hotly anticipated ‘This Way Up’ LP (both release September 23rd)
Loopmasters was formed in 2003 by Matt Pelling, previously marketing manager of Time & Space and also the man behind Beatnik Samples – a Conceptual sample CD company that achieved 5* reviews in Sound On Sound Magazine.
Loopmasters sample CDs have been widely praised for their usefulness of content, price and niche focus within many genres of modern dance music and their new ‘Artist Series’ will only further cement this reputation as one of the UK’s leading sample CD manufacturers.
Retailing between £29.95 each alongside Aquasky’s excellent debut, Loopmasters ‘Artist Series’ already have pioneering dance music producers such as Marshall Jefferson, Trafik and deep house artists Harley and Muscle confirmed for future releases.
