© Ministry of Sound You could just say this is another classics compilation with a different coat on and you would be right but this latest compilation from Ministry could well remind you of the better records in the dance genre.

If I were a parent and my little bundle of joy came home from a good days shopping with the new Ultrabeat album I'd be well in my rights to give the lad a good spanking, it may not be legally right but it would teach him to stop buying rubbish like that. A better way would be to educate him on the finer side of dance music so next time he comes home with a decent album for a change. That is where all these classic compilations do come in very handy. There are a lot of them and have been done to death but do serve a good purpose for getting people to listen to and buy good quality dance music.

The latest offering from Ministry of Sound compiles records from 1991 to the current day over three discs. The release compiles the most popular and successful anthems from over seventeen years with the likes of Robin S, Underworld and Ferry Corsten all in there. There is very much a spread of genres in there from trance to house to a dose of techno. Of course your always going to find a few dodgy tracks in any compilations like this but the overall spread is good.

The compilation should be available in all good record stores from next week. As commercial releases go its not as bad as a few I've seen in recent months and I'm sure would make a good stocking filler come the festive period.
