The second release on Trance label Insatiable comes with a very nice Trance record from Alexander Popov. Insatiable are the new label from those masters of epic trance Solarstone.

Alexander Popov is a up and coming Trance producer from Russia. Insatiable records are focusing on release quality trance music and his latest record 'Vapour Trails' has been chosen for the label's second release. It's already been popping into playlists of big DJ's in past few months and now with a full release featuring two remixes it will no doubt pop into a few more.

:: Original Mix
:: Rozza Remix
:: Saint Rush Remix

We get the ball rolling here with the Original Mix. The beat to start off with is deep and hard with a splash kick leading off it. The background groove gets worked in with a series of short bursts of sound and it comes with a funky little tone changing sythn. The lead melody comes into the track with it changing tone nicely with the backing groove. The main melody swirls in as the track goes for its main break. Sweeping sounds come in and out before the main melody comes in. The melody is bright and energetic if a little mellow. The working back up of the sounds in the track come to force with a short drum roll and then its bang into the beat with the melody floating away over the top. The style of sound in this record is very much uplifting trance with slash sounding symbol kicks to give the record a good flow.

Onto the Rozza Remix we go then. This mix is a lot longer than the original but is that that much different in terms of the build and main melody use. This mix builds up an uplifting progressive style with the track taking a fair while to get into full flow. The opening riff leading on it is very catchy with a good background groove slipping in with what sounds like a distorted vocal sample in there. The main break in this one is somewhat of an epic. The harmonising sythn changes when the beat breaks with the track building up using really uplifting and good mood inspiring sounds. The background lead swirls in the distance with what you could say are a string that changes into more soft edge sythns with the beat building. The main melody from the original is waiting to burst into life and after a the beat builds it does with all the sounds coming together to create one seriously epic uplifter. The harmonising use of a vocal in there just adds to the epic feel. The track builds a second time and uses the main melody to build it up and tear it down using a vocal tone changing riff to finish off the track. Quite a fine remix this one.

What is Saint Rush going to do with his mix then? This mix is more on the progressive side of things but keeps an epic vibe about it like the Rozza mix. The beat and claps are sharper with the kick being more punchy. The main element on this mix is the wet sounding percussion on the build up that floats in the background of the track. That leads the track into its main break. The melody sits in the distance ready for when the beat cuts off and the sounds drop leaving it to float away. Your left with a soft tone changing build up that feeds from the distance to the foreground building back in the sound. Another very much epic build with drum rolls to welcome the track back. This is another cracking remix with its upbeat relaxing nature and use of tone changes to create an uplifting feel.

Conclusion:
This is a very strong second release for a label that looks to bring quality to the Trance market. It delivers with this release with Mr Popov providing an excellent uplifting track with great support from two very well worked remixes. Go and check these ones out.
