A new one out now on Armin's A State Of Trance Label is a bit of a banging uplifter featuring a stomping remix by Sean Tyas. It's Bissen and here he is with Exhale.
Bissen may well be a new name to many but he's been producing for a few years. He comes from Germany and his full name is Georg Bissen. You may if you do a little bit of digging discover his other alias featuring other styles within dance music but Bissen is very much focused on Trance and Progressive sounding electronica.
:: Original Mix :: Sean Tyas Remix
The Original Mix is a fast paced rush from start to end. The deep pounding beat gets the record under way with the bass rolling in the distance with the track gathering pace. It's like a snowball going downhill, it can only get bigger. A big stonking kick slaps itself into the track with a lead riff getting the ball rolling. The track oozes energy even when the beat drops and the melody starts to kick in. Things go a little silent with the melody playing possum and waiting to erupt with the beat. It's uplifting and energetic the changes tone at just the right point before all the beats reach and peak and it bangs back into life. The beat comes in but the energy holds off while the melody feeds in with a beat building in the background. It then all reaches one massive point and explodes right in your face with a cracking uplifting melody.
You could almost be forgiven for suggesting the original is the work of Tyas here but you can tell this is his remix with his trademark beat and kicks. Sharp edged kicks and thunderous thump on the beat is what Tyas brings in here. The main melody and lead riffs on the original are not really changed about that much here but just given a different break down and build back up. The energy within the track and uplifting nature of the melody is the same. The break down is a little stronger though I feel. This mix is a shadow of the original with a sprinkle of Tyas magic on it to put his stamp on the mix.
Conclusion:
This is a pretty good release with a good melody and banging beat on both the mixes. I think most will dig out the Tyas mix on here as overall it does have the edge on the release. It will certainly suit those looking to up there pace with there mixes and introduce that banging melody into it. This is a release worth looking at.
