Anjunabeats is back with another new release from one of their young talents. Maor Levi pops in with his latest record brimmed with uplifting elements and featuring a remix from Oliver Smith, one half of Smith & Pledger.
Maor Levi is a new face on the trance scene but Anjunabeats have spotted the talent and give him another release on their label. Very rightly so as this new single is a pure trip of excellent music from start to finish. The other half of Smith & Pledger is getting more records out on his won in the form of Oliver Smith and he provides the remix on this release.
:: Original Mix :: Oliver Smith Remix
Starting off with the Original Mix and you can not be anything but impressed on how this record has been structured and put together. It's one that I have felt the need to play over again more than just the once for sure. The start of it kicks in with a simple soft padded beat and soft kicks with background noise sparkling in the distance. Coming in and out of the track as it builds up. The bass kicks in with a uplifting deep groove on the build after the simple start. You can feel the uplifting ness building and a key driven melody sparkles in with nice atmospheric effects to it. The build cuts back just to leave the backing sounds swirling in the distance. The breakbeat hits and in slides a distorted effect driven vocal that is catchier than a fish hook with a fish already on it. The gorgeous female vocal plays with the background sounds creating the vibe on the track. It's light, energetic and uplifting. The beat comes in softly but when it comes back proper Mr Levi has creating one uplifting masterpiece here. It’s a fantastic record.
What do you do with an original mix that is just that good? Not mess around with the formula and that’s what Oliver Smith has done with his remix. There is more of a club flow to this remix with a faster sharper beat kicking the track along. Although I don’t think this mix is as strong as the original it still keeps that gorgeous effect driven vocal and uplifting vibe to it. The vocal is used on the build up in the track teasing you of the full blown carnage that is about to be unloaded. Nice sharp kicks and gritting bas patterns lead up to the breakdown which is just as euphoric. Everything drops silent and the swirling sounds gather dropping the vocal over the top as a drum roll gathers pace slamming the beat back to get the track flowing at full pace. The strings and glorious keys are in there to boot making this a very nice addition to what is a cracking track originally.
Conclusion:
One of the best tracks I've heard for a while this. It just makes you want to play it again and again without getting boring. Fantastic original mix and a nice pumping remix by Oliver Smith make this a very essential purchase.
