Another new track from Bissen under his 'The Crossover' alias. It's more fast paced uplifting trance with a techno style remix by Joint Operations.
Bissen is otherwise known as Georg Bissen and is a very Talented producer from Germany. You may remember him from his Exhale track I reviewed recently. He's back on A State of Trance with a brand new one under the alias 'The Crossover' and its banging uplifting trance yet again. The Joint Operations provide a techno tinted remix for that something different on the flip.
:: Original Mix :: Joint Operations Centre Remix
The Oriiginal Mix begins with the main beat pumping away and after a short few bursts of fiddling little kicks one big massive kick drum and slap comes pumping in. The pace has been set and the track can only build. The kick cuts off after a short break to leave the beat and groove going then whips it back in after a short beat flip back. On the lead in comes a short melody teasing you that changes tone and pattern building and building. That short melody comes into force as the beat cuts off just leaving that driving lead melody to turn into an uplifting series of strings to form the main breakdown. The melody in here very strong with effects used on it to give it that fade sound as it comes into force. The beats start to build with short stabs then a drum roll as everything gathers pace for the explosion of beat and melody but when it all reaches a head it breaks back into the beat that begun and starts building again. The main melody then comes in as the track all builds up to another leading break; this one is short and bangs in the main melody and beats all in one. Here is the gravy and its worth sprinkling over your Sunday dinner. This is driving uplifting Askew/Tyas style trance this from Bissen that will appeal to those who like it uplifting and banging.
Now for something totally different with the Joint Operations Mix.The beat is deep and built up with a metal sounding techno wrapped leading riff. The main structure of the track remains the same as the original just in a different , harder style. The track builds up in layers but with the techno sounding clang going along all the way through. Deep thudding beat with a meaty kick and not to much symbol kicks along with it until they kick in which give it that techno style. Those symbol kicks change tone as the beat cuts off and that euphoric melody comes in floating in the background. It soon cuts out to be replaced with the beat, very much stop and start style. It lingers in the distance then gets louder as the main melody feeds it ways into the track, that then builds and layers up until the beat comes back and your left with that techno style and melody layer onto. Very different sounding remix comparing it to the original mix which is pumping uplifting trance. This is more techno inspired trance. A good remix though.
Conclusion:
This is another strong release from Bissen. Pumping, banging trance with plenty to keep you hooked. For those who like that tech sound the remix may well be something to slid into your sets as its a good remix. A strong release this with different mixes in terms of their style. Check this one out in the i:Vibes store.
