The team of JamX & De Lean will no longer produce under their long standing Dumonde alias. They have finally decided to split after a decade of quality music, before they go though they will have one final release on offer.
Another team of hard trance producers decide to go their separate way with Dumonde today announcing they will no longer be producing any more music under the alias. The team known as Juergen Mutschall (JamX) and Dominik de Leon have called it a day on their most famous joint project in dance music. It comes after a good ten years of pumping out quality records which have been played in every major club across the world for years.
The news came in the form of a statement released by the duo:
In what is a sad moment for us. We have decided to call an end to DuMonde. We could quote artistic differences, different directions, solo productions but we will spare you all the clichés.
We spent ten years at the top with DuMonde. With the Album a Decade we captured and highlighted a chapter in our joint career and have decided to make it a closure point for us .We feel that this makes a natural break, drawing a line under the success we achieved as one of the most respected trance acts on the scene. Gun due for release this month will be our final joint production as DuMonde, a track that is a strong and fitting end to a great ten years …
For 2008, both JamX and De Leon have a number of individual projects lined up. Some of the new solo works will embrace the feel of what has been done in the past while others will be moving in completely new and fresh directions.
We would like to thank all of you who supported us over the last ten years our loyal fans, the DJs and producers we worked with and now we are going to go into clichés, friends, family etc, but seriously to all of you, thanks we couldn’t have done it without you.
We hope you will enjoy the future with us as we embark on our solo projects and look forward to your continued support.
Those fresh directions and individual projects are anyone guess but I can assume they will both be producing dance music in some form or another. The statement pretty much spells the end of Dumonde and I assume any other collaborations the pair release under different names. The good thing is they both will still be producing but will they be as successful and release good stuff as they have done as a team? We will find out next year.
In the meantime to remind yourself of how good Dumonde's tracks are they will be releasing one last album called "Decade" with compiles the best Dumonde tracks they have released. The album is available right now on the [i:Vibes] store and will be more formally released in January for those who like a CD version.
