Bonzai Gearing Up For The New Year

© www.bonzaimusic.com The forthcoming twelve months will see a whole host of fresh new releases from the Bonzai label. New albums from Airwave and Cape Town a new Fire & Ice single and a whole host more on it's way soon.

There are lots of things going off at Bonzai (Otherwise known as Banshee Worx)worth making a few notes about. From a label that went bust only to return with a vengeance looks to build on a fantastic 2007 with a whole host of releases for this year. Some you may be familiar with and others you won’t.

NEW AIRWAVE & DJ FIRE ALBUMS

Airwave continues to produced some of the most gorgeous sounding trance records you could ever wish to listen to. His three disc album "Trilogique" put more of his released in one nice three disc package and he's been around the globe on tour promoting it throughout last year. That’s not halted his time in the studio and he's ready to fire out his fourth album to be called Touareg. Details on it are brief but expect to be released in the first half of this year.

One half of Fire & Ice DJ Fire has two new albums on the go with them being avilable in a few digital download stores right now including our very own [i:Vibes] Store! The first is his solo artist album called 'Rendez Vous' which compiles most of his finest productions to date under the DJ Fire name. The second is a mix album called 'Mixology 2' which is a fine mix of trance records stiched together by the man himself. Both those albums can be purchased from the [i:Vibes] Store right now!

BRAND NEW FIRE & ICE RELEASE

Even with DJ Fire's solo productions doing very well its goods to know that Fire & Ice are well and truly alive and still pumping out the sounds. Trance is very much back with 2007 being a great year for the genre and that can only mean its time for a new Fire & Ice single. Expect it to drop some point before the spring and the new release will be called 'Tour De Trance'.

CAPE TOWN ALBUM

Laurent Véronnez & Ludovic Meyer are the brains behind the Cape Town alias. Their productions have been featured in some of the big DJ's play lists for years with tracks like "Proglifter" and "Pitstop" being just a few of the gems they have come up with. You will be please to hear that they will be releasing a Cape Town album in February then called Aviateur featuring new productions and exclusive re-works of their previous tracks. It's sure to be one to mark on the pre-order list.

BRAND NEW BONZAI WEBSITE

In line with the New Year Bonzai have started off with a brand new website. It might not be the prettiest site out there but it does the job and offers you all the information on the label's sub labels, artists, releases, events and latest news from Bonzai HQ! The news page looks to be the place to have a look at daily for the latest on what’s going off with the label as they seem to update that daily with new snippets.

'UP THE TEMPO' PVD's TRACK OF 2007'

In a recent appearance on Judge Jules radio 1 one (which is now on at the bizarre time of 1AM Saturday mornings) Paul van Dyk selected Armandi - Up The Tempo as his favourite track of 2007, or at least one of them for sure. Mandy Reid is the very nice lady behind that one and you can rest assured it was not the fluttering of her eye brows that made Paul choose this track. It’s a cracker!
