Remix action on Armind with two new remixes of the Doppler Effect's 'Beauty Hides In The Deep' record released on the Armind label. Ronski Speed and that Irish wizard John O'Callaghan showcase their uplifting vocal trance talents.
The Doppler Effect released Beauty Hides In The Deep back in the middle of 2007 and for me anyone its not a record I really remember. Not to worry though because remixes can always pick something good out the rubble with Ronski Speed and John O' Callaghan looking to spark up some magic. The original release did feature lovely vocal from Carol Lee which these two have used to great effect in creating some top uplifting vocal trance.
:: Beauty Hides In The Deep (John O' Callgahan Remix) :: Beauty Hides In The Deep (Ronski Speed Remix)
John O'Callaghan seems to turn out records like Asda do low prices but that does not effect the quality of his productions in any shape or form. You may have heard this mix on Armin’s 'A State of Trance' radio show over the past few months. The energy you expect with his records is right here from the start. The pounding beat, slamming kick build the energy at the beginning. The vocal feeds in early here when the pounding beat cuts off and a short vocal lead comes in. The beat comes back without the kick on it at first then stutters to release it back into the track again. Subtle stabby strings lead the track into the main break. The strings fade away, atmospheric sounds flow in and in drops the vocals to tell the story. 'I Want You Tonight' drops and the sounds begin to build. The beat drops in but its not all there yet as its still building and with a short drum roll the kick bangs back into action the melody peppers the track into an uplifting epic. The vocal 'I Want You Tonight' comes in to top it off to add that hook. Great euphoric catchy big room vocal trance this and another great remix by John.
It's time for a remix Ronski Speed style here as he adds his trademark sound and creates a really uplifting fresh sounding melody. This track picks out different vocal parts and uses them to create a really bubbly build. Ronski used a softer sounding beat with this remix but remains with his industrial backing sounds on the intro and short flashes of vocal on the kick. The synths on the lead ease off and the first part of the vocals comes in. They don’t want you tonight but they do tell more of a story and really work with the sound in the track. The beat and sounds cut as the vocal echo's off and sweeping pads in the background start to take effect as the vocal more telling to the name of the track feed in. They slide off and with the drum roll Ronski slides in the melody and back with the beat. Bright and energetic it is to not to mention very uplifting with the sweeping pads changing in the distance. Really good stuff this one. The track breaks again and you’re treated to more of the melody as it comes back for a second time but with more build to it. The tracks in full flow towards the end and cuts off nicely to return to the sound that started it all off.
Conclusion:
In my opinion two very good remixes here both worth getting you hands on. John's fast paced catchy banger should feed your needs nicely and the melody in Ronski's mix should have you coming back for more. Get them both.
