Time For The Hard Dance Awards

© HDA The time to celebrate all things hard in dance music is hear again with the Hard Dance Awards. Voting is still open and the awards will have their very own club night to celebrate the winners at the end of this month.

The Hard Dance scene is well and truly alive. There was talk of a recession but that was just a load of hot air. It's bigger and better than ever and will be around for a very long time. The Hard Dance Awards return again for 2008 to celebrate everything harder in the world of dance music and to recognise the faces who continue to push out great fresh new bosh to dance along to.

Our shop partner Trackitdown are sponsoring the event and voting is still open to register your say in what have been the best producers, clubs and tracks in the style throughout the past twelve months. There are a total of fourteen awards up for grabs including Best DJ, Best Producer, Best Club, Biggest Party Animal and Best New Face. The latter should have a lot of competition with numerous new faces and DJ's popping up on the hard dance scene over the past year.

Voting could not be more simple. Pop over to the Hard Dance Awards site, fill in your name and address and submit your vote for each category. With the awards not very far away you've only got a few weeks to get your votes in before they will be counted and the winners announced.

Hard Dance Awards Party

No awards would be without a party to celebrate the winners and the Hard Dance Awards are no exception. They will be hosting a night to announce all the winners on the 29th February at Sheffield club Plug. The line-up for the event is packed with hard Dance stars with Lisa Lashes, Ed Real, # Andy Whitby , BK b2b Vinylgroover, Alex Kidd and Lisa Pin Up amongst many attenting the night. Advanced tickets for the night are £15 and available through Ticketweb so grab yours early to avoid disappointment. I would think you could, depending on how busy the night is get in on the door but expect to pay more or not to get in if you do.

Hard Dance Awards Album

Following on from the awards night on the 3rd March will see the release of the Hard Dance Awards album. Two discs jammed with the hard dance anthems that made last year a great year for bosh and a special future bangers mix with tracks selected by the Tidy Boys that they think wil be big this year. You can get pre-sale signed editions of the album if your going to be at the awards night so look out for those if your there.

The official site of the Hard Dance Awards is very much worth a look round as they have collected together the thoughts and views of some of the big names on the scene to what their favourite bits of 2007 were and what they are looking forward to this year. Just about every big DJ is on there giving their thoughts on the past twelve months gone. A great insight and catch up on your favourite dance artists.

The coming year should be another good one for the world of bish, bash and mega bosh with the awards kick starting it off in superb fashion. Get voting.
