Whats New With DJ Shah

Last year was a very good one for DJ Shah (Otherwise known as Roger Pierre Shah) with his productions sliding into the play lists of many a big DJ. His solo and remix productions have been in Armin's 'A State of Trance' radio show throughout the year. 'Who Will Find Me' would be one production I recommend you get your hands on as its one of the best tracks to be released last year. Continuing with this years trend for some very exciting new releases DJ Shah has a few offerings worth looking at.

MELLOMANIA: STEP 12

Mellomania may be the name of DJ Shah & Pedro Del Mar's excellent weekly radio show but the Mellomania compilation series is about to release its twelve volume. The double disc compilation sea’s two breathtaking mixes of superb music by DJ Shah and Pedro Del Mar. Featuring music from Lange, ATB, Andy Duguid, First State, BuRo and 3rd Moon just to name a few the compilation blends together some of the most soothing trance music available today. Its out from the 22nd February and available at the Mellomania shop.

NEW SHAH COLLABORATION: BLACK PEARL

Following on from the success of 'Bounty Island' comes a fresh new production from Black Pearl. The alias is a collaboration between DJ Shah and Ralph Frisch who's most popular production that comes to my mind is a remix of Blank & Jones classic record 'DJ's Fans & Freaks' under his Komakino alias. The new single 'Coral Sea' is a gorgeous relaxing trance record full of epic elements and a melody to melt you away into a fit of pleasure. Ferry, Armin and Above & Beyond have been giving this record some serious hammer on their radio shows, rightly so to as the its excellent. Expect this to be released very soon and when it does, go get it.

MELLOMANIACS SOLARCOASTER

Teaming up with Pedro Del Mar again under the Mellomaniacs banner and they are at it again with their remixed versions of trance classics. Their last release 'Tribute To 1998' updated a classic Binary Finary record in good taste and went down very well. The new release is a remix of Solar Stone's epic string driven 'Solarcoaster' with DJ Shah's rework featuring in Beatport's top twenty most popular releases. It's another very well reworked record done in god taste by the pair and worth getting your mitts on.

REMIXES ON THE WAY

The quality of DJ Shah's production work is getting round as he has been overloaded with remix requests recently. He has just done a remix of Ocenalab's 'Clear Blue Water' track for Ajunbeats. A remix for Nadia Ali's 'Crash & Burn' at the personnal request of IIO singer Nadia. His current remix project is for Armada on the classic 'Ascension - For A Lifetime' which I'm sure will be nearly finished and ready for release very soon. All very exciting stuff and you can be sure not to be disapointed when they all get released.
