				Dave Schiemann hits out on Tekelec with another banging Global EP on Tekelec...

				:: Dave Schiemann - Global EP 4 Poland:: Tekelec
 ::  TEKE022

 1) Adrenaline
 The first of these three dirty, tech-ridden tracks is 'Adrenaline'. And that's certainly what gets pumping when you hear this beast! It's severely dark and is driven initially by a dastardly bassline - deep, sinister and unrelenting. Fueled by a compelling, booming beat and echoed out snares this is really approaching techno territory but without getting too harsh on the listener. On two occasions, the force behind the track, the driving bass, is given up and in its place is passage something much like a really hyped up Randy Katana type of sound - tribal beats and a piercing rhythmic synth. This is used for a short period only and soon the evil, driving bass comes back in, allowing you to get your head back down and return to some serious stomping.

 2) Take This
 The first few beats of 'Take This' make you think you're in for a bog standard techno thumper, but out of the blue a totally wild and jackin' electro-styled bassline is dropped in and simply tears the track apart into a whole new beast. It's twisted, groovy, raw and downright funky. You are blessed with three sections of this wild sound, broken up by two linking passages where the bass is dropped and an old skool sounding rhythmic drone is employed instead. These aren't the most inventive passages you'll have heard, but what they do do is make the main bassline seem even more awesome when it rips back in and takes full, powerful control.

 3) Bass After The Drums
 'Bass After The Drums' is the least impacting of this trio of tracks. Appearing to attempt to cross techno with some form of electro, it sounds a bit confused and never seems to hold a proper rhythm. An attempt at something different perhaps, ending with somewhat mixed results.

				Conclusion:'Adrenaline' and 'Take This' simply can't be missed! 'Adrenaline' is a compelling piece of dark, driving techno and 'Take This' is on a level of it's own. The ripping, groovy bass will enthrall dancefloors covering electro, tech-trance and techno without even breaking a sweat.
