 Firm news about Blank & Jones 9th studio album is out in the public domain with a brand new single coming this may with their album to follow in June...
They have been muttering about a brand new artist album this year for months the Blank & Jones boys and no doubt they have been hammering away at it in the studio to finish it. It looks like they have as album now has a firm release date and details of the first single fron t it have been announced.
The album will be called 'The Logic Of Pleasure' with the first single to be released from it entitled 'Miracle Cure'. The single is a collaboration with Bernard Sumner who is known for his work under Joy DIvision and New Order. From what I understand Martin Roth and Mark Reeder will be providing the remixes for the release which is back to Blank & Jones more dancey roots. None of that chillout nonsense to be found with this new album, aside from a few remixes I'm sure.
I've not spotted a full track list for the album but if it follows past albums you should see a good eleven plus tracks on it. Blank & Jones MySpace page has been updated with information on the new album and some form of intoxicated ramble which plays on the logic angle but does not make much sense, at least not to me anyway.
The single will be released on the 30th May and the album will be release on the 6th June.
