One of the better parties to held over in Miami is the one hosted by VONYC sessions, if you were lucky enough to be there that is. They had a quick chat with a few of the stations DJ's who are over there on there thoughts about it all.

This years Winter Music Conference is in full swing having kicked off a few days ago in the sunny surroundings of Miami. If you like your dance music then it is one place you would really want to be as every major dance player is over there toping up their tan. VONYC Sessions held their WMC party this last Wednesday gone and managed to have a quick word with a few popular names you might know gathering their thoughts on the conference.

Two guys that are rocking my CD Case on heavy rotation are Patch Park and Daniel Portman. Every new track they produce is on point and they are pumping them out one after the other.
Definitely two of the most talented up and coming producers and Djs in the scene. If u havent checked out any of their stuff, you are missing out!

Most significant / crazy / amazing WMC experience you had?
I'll never forget two years ago at Space, Dubfire dropped one of my latest tunes and after a minute of playing i heard this crazy horn sound squeal out from right next to the booth. A few seconds later i wasnt even sure it was my song playing. Ali gave me a look and with his head signaled to his left and it was then that i realized there was a live saxxaphone player jamming and soloing out to my song. The energy was unreal and the notes so beautiful. One of those moments i'll always remember.

No WMC is complete without a stop at Wet Willie’s on Ocean for one of their monstrous “Call A Cab” frozen cocktails!

What other artist is impressing you / you can't wait to see in Miami (and why)?
John O’Callaghan has been impressing me for years and I’m happy to see he’s finally gotten his Visa and will be playing in the U.S. more. I’ll definitely be there to check his sets at WMC.

Most significant / crazy / amazing WMC experience you had?
Too many crazy experiences to list but a few of my favorite times were PVD and Ferry @ Space a couple years ago, Erick Morillo on the terrace @ Space in 2005, and Timo Maas’ ultra-inspirational show @ Set in 2007. These all hold special places in my heart!

The International Dance Music Awards was held yesterday (27th March) and as soon as we know the winners we will post them up on the i:Vibes pages. A few interesting comments by the people who I'm sure made a very special VONYC party go down well a few days ago. Cue the sunburn and headaches as the conference comes to a close on Saturday.
