The Anjunabeats label is now over one hundred releases old and to celebrate that the Above & Beyond guys have mixed together a double disc compilation packed full of the label's finest records to date...
It is very true to say that Anjunbeats have released some of the most spine tingling emotional induced Trance music on the scene today. They are one of a few top quality labels you always have an extra interest in when you see a new release pop up on the shelves. They have released some of my favourite records in recent years that’s for sure and a few of those pop up on this compilation.
The label celebrates its one hundredth release with this compilation and although only originally founded back in 2000 by Above & Beyond it's now grown into one of the biggest labels in Dance. They have the likes if Super 8 & DJ Tab, Daniel Kandi, Mike Shiver amongst the many Above & Beyond alias like the mighty Oceanlab. The Above & Beyond chaps recently held massive gigs down in Brazil and India to celebrate the success of the label and will be holding even bigger gigs throughout the summer.

This release is not really about bringing fresh new music from the label more a look back at the outstanding quality they have brought to you before. From one point I've enjoyed this two disc mix more than some recent compilations, which can draw music from any label they want and that speaks very highly about the quality Anjunabeats have with their music. Those of you familiar with the sound will recognise the tracks in here and remind you of a few you should really dig out the record collection and bang in a few recent mixes.
Record after record of uplifting emotional pleasure greets you with this release mixed together very nicely by the Above and Beyond chaps who no doubt took it in turns to mix the tracks. if you ever see them play live its like a medley with the three taking turns to mix. No faults on the mixture here though as it’s all blended very nicely together.
Conclusion:
This is quite a fine compilation featuring the greatest releases to date from one of the Trance scene's finest labels. Its not new material but that doesn’t matter, as it’s a fresh reminder of why you should be buying music from Anjunabeats. I'd recommend you go buy this one and torment you home audio system with it, it’ll thank you for it.
