An exclusive review of Shane 54's latest remix of Madonna's "Music". Although the track has yet to be released, here's a taster of what's to come from one of the top producers at the moment
The latest track to grace the speakers is Shane 54's remix of Madonna's "Music" Having been played out during 2001, Madonna's track originally came out with a number of funky housey kind of remixes, and now, here is a change to what was there.
Known for his truly quality productions, Shane 54 is not new to the scene, with productions released, including the massive remix of Cosmicman's I Love You, and one of the biggest productions to date; the collaboration with Sterbinsky. "Take me Away".
This latest remix is a massive tune, both in size and quality, and is a slightly different venture from Shane's usual uplifting style, but nonetheless, this production is truly nice. So far, I have only heard the Pink Flood Remix, and i am unsure as to whether or not Shane will put out a more uplifting version.
This progressive minded tune is a whopping 13 minutes long, and it builds and builds, with those rolling percussions this is definitely a tune I could see being signed to Bedrock or Renaissance.
It keeps some of the elements of the original track, in terms of the vocals and the melody during the break, but the bassline is truly nice. Definitely a dance floor builder, and I would see someone like Armin van Buuren playing this on an ID-T set coming up.
The break which ensures just after the 6 minute mark is definitely the benchmark of the track and it builds for another minute or so before exploding into more progressive beats.
If I were to play this track, I'd be playing this at +3 or +4 near the beginning of a set, and this is definitely going to be massive. Stay tuned to i:Vibes for some exclusive updates in the near future.
In the meantime, please check out Shane's site at http://www.shane-54.com
