 We will find out as DJ Times kicks off its search for Americas best DJ which now enters its third year. This year’s nominees have been announced and will be fighting for your vote throughout the summer to win this years crown...
For those of you who are not familiar with dance publications over in the States the DJ Times are on of the leading dance music and clubbing magazines in America. Think of them as the Mixmag of America. They first held the inaugural 'America's Best DJ' contest back in 2006 with New York jock Jonathan Peters taking the spoils. Last years contest was won by Miami trance producer and very good DJ George Acosta.
The idea behind the award for the best DJ is very simple. Over the course of the summer forty of the one hundred nominees will be showcasing their talents across the states and playing at some of the greatest clubs to display their talents. The tour which will run throughout the summer is Sponsored by Pioneer who manufacture some of the best club and DJ gear you can buy.

The summer tour will see club nights in New York, Miami, Detroit and Los Angeles to name a few. The current dates have been announced for the tour:
The contest officially gets underway on the 1st May with you able to register your vote either online or at one of the tour events. The previous years winner is ineligible for the current contest so enjoy the glory while it lasts George as by the end of September the clubbing community of America will have voted a new King.
