Adam Freeland's Brighton based Marine Parade imprint has for several years been at the forefront of pushing the UK's underground breakbeat scene to a much wider audience. However, the label's latest looks set to send them into a new realm entirely. Well worthy of it's title, Ils' 'Next Level' (lifted from the latest Orange mobile phone ads) is a searing fusion of razor-sharp beats, didgeridoo style bass loops and energising vocal samples that sees it's producer heading back to the dancefloor where he belongs. While on the flip is the jazzier, equally well produced 'Musik' which just serves to illustrate Ils' diversity. Welcome to the 'Next Level'!

 A side: Next level

Wow is all i can say, for anyone out there that loves pure churning sick breakbeats, then this vinyl is for you. All the big dj's have been talking about it and Adam Freeland never stops playing it. This side contains a few vocals thrown in repeating "Welcome to the next level, the next level" and then the infectious bass is accompanied by the heavy beats that makes this track what it is.

 B side: Musik

This is also a nice flipside, but by far the A side is the one to look out for. In fact look out for anything by ILS, they never cease to please.
